Engineering, Technology & Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Technology & Advanced Manufacturing  The ETAM initiative, funded through a $2.91 million Community-Based Job Training Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), will build and deliver workforce development solutions that can be deployed in both the education (credit) and training (non-credit) environments.  ETAM functions as a partnership of 3 colleges, their regional Workforce Board partners, and the Employ Florida Banner Center for Manufacturing.  The other college partners working with TCC in this project are State College of Florida and Polk State College.  Ten (10) dual-purpose Educational modules will be aligned with courses in the Engineering Technology Associate in Science degree program and formatted so that they can be used either in a traditional academic classroom or by a corporate college for customized incumbent worker training and entry-level workforce training.  Leveraging a USDOL funded partner project based at Hillsborough Community College, the partner colleges will deliver live courses to remote sites including one-stop centers, other colleges, and employers.  A career pathway with multiple entry and exit points will link all of the courses together.   0 5 years ago
